Let the count down begin

37 days to go.
We are counting down the days to Convergence and digging into the details of the weekend.

We ask that everyone bring their own eating implements. Bowl/plate, utensils, and cup/glass. There will be washing stations set up through out the eating area.

Many folks have asked about the workshop structure of the weekend.

Do you have a skill you can share with others? Some examples are; making medicinal salves and tinctures. Raising rabbits for meat. urban chickens, Fermenting your harvest. Tips and tricks for the new permie. Seed saving. Food forests: year 1,2 and 3. Wildcrafting, Cob oven bread baking? Consider facilitating a workshop.

Permaculture projects. Do you have a project that you would like to share with the group? Give an update about your on-going permaculture project?

Creating a permaculture community. Share your ideas and experiences in creating community and using permaculture principles in your daily life.

Rural Permaculture. There has been a burgeoning amount of interest in applying permaculture outside the urban setting. Here is an opportunity to organize and share your ideas and inspire others.

Education.  We are in the planning stages of creating a round table discussion on becoming a permaculture teacher.

Food and Permaculture. This is a forum to discuss all things food. Share recipes, insights and ways to get the most from your harvest.

Here is how it works.
You suggest a topic to facilitate or suggest a facilitator.
There will be a list of topics posted on the blog and facebook page prior to convergence.
Some topics will run concurrently, others will be open for the group as a whole.
Each of these topics will have a facilitator, someone who will keep the topic flowing and present an overview at the end of the day for those interested.

We are here to help. If you have topic to share with the group and need help with your presentation, let’s connect you with someone who can give you suggestions on how to bring your  ideas to the group.
